How Does It Feel To Never Be Good Enough?

by Dayna   Oct 20, 2005

As hard as you try
You can't please at all
The one you call mom
She makes you very so very small
Degrades you in public
And deep down inside
You've hidden your feelings
You know you must hide
Can't let them out
Can't let her win
The surface she sees
But not what's within
The feelings of hatred
You feel for yourself
Not knowing, not caring
There's no one to help
"You can do better
That's not good enough!"
No, can't you see
It's just way too tough!
"You're just way too smart
To waste it away!"
There's so much I think
But I just can't say
Too bad that you think
I can do better
You don't know me
Did you know I was a cutter?
It sucks for you
That I'm not good enough
I just can't make it
The world's way too rough
So, sorry mom, but eff you
I don't care if you die
All that matters is I'm good enough for me
So, no longer, just don't try
