The Attention No One's Paid

by Dayna   Oct 20, 2005

Tears streaming down her face
No longer does she seem filled with grace
Staggering around, blood pouring from her wrists
Obviously, she can't put up with all of this
Drowning in her pool of tears
From pain held in through all these years
All the attention that no one had paid
So, she'll get away with the slice of a blade
She says good-bye in her final note
Then draws the pill bottle from her coat
Takes it all and puts it away
She determined not to live another day
She lays down, her baggage packed
Then fades away, as everything goes black
