All Of Our Differences, Don't Make A Difference.

by Michelle   Dec 7, 2003

Up or In, Down and out
First a smile, Then a pout
Estactically happy, unbearably sad
Gave nothing, gave all that you had
A mama soothes, another cries
One is born, another dies
One chosen first, one has to be last
Some look to the future, some dwell on the past
Some are black, some are white
Tell me, why does this make us fight???
Tables for smoking, tables for Non
Still the list goes on and on....
My favorite's purple, yours might be green
Others may like all shades in between
Mexican, lobster, burgers or Thai
Some never touch drugs, some perpetually high
Some attend church every week, while some don't believe...
Some have many children, while some yearn to conceive.
The differences are many in this world in which we reside
Some are unseen, some we can't hide
But of all of these differences, we're so much the same,
Because our two hearts chose each other to claim.
