The cause of Christ

by Daniel Jimenez   Oct 21, 2005

My walk slows down to a crawl
as I pass through the throne room halls

body tired and spirit weak
Your presence i now do seek

the battle was hard but alas it won
all for the cause of God's only begotten son

This Christian armor I now peel away
my arms are bruised and hair astray

piece by piece i let them fall
and then at last i hear you call

and before you i now do stand
with joyful heart and lifted hands.

the battles where worth the price
for now i enter eternal paradise

with no wounds to show or bruises to tell
of my journey across that trecherous hell

now that life has faded into the night
as i walked into the Lord's glorious light.

I fought the fight and paid the price
all for the cause of Christ.
