The Door

by K   Oct 21, 2005

I've never felt this lonely before.
Not until you left me alone standing at the door.
I waited for you to return
but still no show.
So I've changed the locks
and try to act like I forgot,
and I don't even hear
your knocks.
But...
But I didn't forget and
I do hear your knocks.
You own a spot in my heart
that many women don't.
And only you have the key
to this door to my heart.
But it seems to me like
you have lost your key...

That is such a sad poem it really brought tears to my eyes. It just seems like that is what me and my boyfriend are going through right now. God this sucks. But keep up the good work. I will be looking forward to reading them because I can at least relate to this one. If you write anymore like this please email me them at BrokenBabe0227@yahoo.com Thankyou

Hey I liked this poem you wrote. it was really good. I liked the part where it says "but..." and then from there on, cause it just gives it a special twist. anyway, thanks for the comment on my poem. really appriciated it. 5/5
