Veronica

Born into poverty
raised among the streets
looked down upon in society
known as nothing more than a "dead-beat"

living in a trailer park
living off food stamps
tried to provide for the family
by becoming the neighborhood tramp

standing on street corners
selling products illegal to law
the loneliness lingering in her heart
provoked her to start her downfall

she sat in her room one night
picked up her shaving blade
and decide it was no longer worth it
and with it she carved her name

the scars haunted her day by day
VERONICA in dark bold letters
she covered her marks with bandages
but expected it never to get better

she continued to abuse her physical being
cutting her name into her skin
but one day it bled and bled
and she knew her life span was thin

the vain she cut was required to live
paralyzing her forever
and to think she'd stop and say
I'm not doing it....never

but it made poor veronica hate her life
and she knew she wanted to die
she could no longer move and go on
and this pain caused frustration inside

until her father came to visit
and asked him to pull the plug
veronica's life had ended
and with her finally tug

she whispered i now understand
if u didn't love me u wouldn't do this
but it was far to late
and she realized the point she missed

she was loved by her family
whether poor or not, they were there
and now that veronica's gone
she knows how much they cared

plz comment and vote, it means alot 2 me
