Always a memory

by Jennie   Oct 25, 2005

Although it may seem,
as the vastness
of time washes over the past,
although those bright
stars have faded away,
I still remember.
Although the world seems
to have pushed out
all past thoughts,
that fly with the torrent
of winds,
I haven't forgotten.
Although the sun
had hid it's face
behind the walls of dark
clouds that were on the
verge of tears,
I still stop to remember.
Although the presence
of the silver moon
no longer enchants me
beneath the star strewn sky,
I still paint it in my mind.
Although the old world
with trees of everlasting
trust, age, and wisdom
have fallen from their roots,
to crumble in brown sand,
I will never forget
how you've changed my world,
... my life.

To someone for all they've given me. Pain, suffering, discovery, happiness, sadness, helplessness. To someone who changed my life without a word, but with a look. You'll never know. But, thank you.
