Heart of an Ocean

by Jennie   Jun 1, 2007

Sitting idly by,
I close my eyes
and see the expansion of the world
as I grasp the freeness of the sea.

I feel the strength within me
swelling, and releasing in such surges...
the heart beating within me,
calling for a voice on the faded shore.

The echoing of my mind
in the wind...
like a fluttering piece of glass,
in timid awareness of the hard world.

So it is,
the reality of my realm...
the stagnation of my heart
when it is so deeply calling for release.
But the strength of it, so tender...
so blind for warmth.

I open my eyes
to the reality
that there is no ocean,
that my heart is too scared to beat

for another...
