Time has created
a pool between us,
as the moon's cat
smiles,
and I watch the crescent
moon reflect on the water...
As minutes pass,
as hours go by,
I hear the wind
I smell the salt water spray,
I see you going
farther away from me.
The swan glides
serenely dipping
its pearly neck into
black waves sparkling,
as we watch it create ripples
that go so far...
far passed the measurement
of time.
And so,
I see you looking at me
over the ocean,
the ocean's puddle
that had been our creation...
instead of love,
an ocean has sprung
from our tears...
We're growing far apart,
I can only see your black eyes
glinting like stars now.
Time is chasing us apart...
but what can I do,
with the Cheshire cat
smiling with malignant eyes.
I can only remember that swan,
that will glide between
our giant pool.
Although I can't see your image,
when I see the pearly swan,
I will think of you.
