You wanted to be a part of me
you wanted to hold me tight
you wanted everyone to see
you wanted what was right

you had my heart and my soul
you had me in your arms
you had my life you had control
you had me under your charms

you lost my heart and my soul
you lost me from your grip
you lost every part of your control
you lost and let me slip
