A goodbye (part one)

by Switchblade89   Oct 28, 2005

This will be the last poem that I write,
to befall a silent and sympathetic goodnight,
to tell you something that you need to know,
and to explain why I had to go...

Heres a replay of the day that we met,
it's a memory that im never going to forget,
you were standing next to your class door,
you looked like the kind of girl that i could adore,

I walked up to you so confident,
hoping your not the same as other girls, hopefully different,
I was admiring your beauty that was so unique,
that when when I came up to you I lost words to speak,

I stood there looking at you, not saying anything,
and there you stood, looking back, but you were smiling,
this is the first time I've done this in school,
and since no words were exchanged I felt like a fool,

The bell was about to ring so I started walking away,
thinking "I hope to talk to her one day",
I went though class with my stomach all sore,
and although it hurt, there was one thing I couldn't ignore,

After class I started walking down the hall,
and you came up to me and said one word, that was all,
you came up to me and with the sweetest voice said "hey",
just hearing you say that had made my day,

There also was a letter that you had in your hand,
you gave it to me, but I didn't understand,
as you walked away you kept looking at me,
and by the smile on your face I could tell that you were happy,

I opened the letter that was written in red,
and this is exactly what it said.....
