Abuse

by †Rachel Joan†   Oct 30, 2005

A swollen cheek
A bump on the head
Tell Mummy it was an accident
When you fell out of bed.

A bruised leg
A cut on your knee
Say you fell over
While running to me.

A broken finger
A dislocated shoulder
Caused by a fall
When you climbed on a boulder.

None of these are true
But that's between me and you
You mustn't tell
Or it won't go down well.

If Mummy asks
Where you're getting all these bumps
Just say you're clumsy
And that's what's causing these lumps.

You're defenseless now
But you're growing up
Pretty soon you'll be able
And I'll be out of luck.

So I'll make the most of my time
Cause I know you won't tell
Honey, if you do
I'll put you through hell.
