Why Are We Here?

Why are we here?
And whats it all mean?
Do you have the same fear?
That we might not make it to eighteen.

Maybe when our life ends,
We gracefully float up to paradise,
And the angels for us will defend,
Save our souls and pay the price.

Or maybe we will enter the afterlife,
And live on as someone new,
Still be with our husband and wife,
Stay with those we love so true.

Who says we dont just die,
And we are left buried in the ground,
Maybe we will never see above the sky,
Just be lost, never to be found.

The price to know is so dear,
As it costs ones life to find the truth,
It is mans greatest fear,
Arising within us at our youth.

What do we have to do?
That will let us live through the night,
How can we be one of the few?
That will see the next ray of light.
