Seeds of Wisdom

by Lyn   Oct 31, 2005

The wind is making waves upon the puddles,
The washing on the line is never still,
The leaves are blowing round and round in circles,
And raindrops fall upon my window sill.

All life is here before my very vision,
People come and go and people die,
And other seeds that scattered now are growing
Above the soil where other people lie.

And do I think that I'll go on forever?
Do I think that death won't come to me?
Do I think the world will stop revolving
If I should ever die or cease to be.

Is that all it means this life for people?
Is that all there is and nothing more?
Are life and death the only constant things
Of which each human being can be sure?

Well I believe that Jesus is the answer
For He has told me that my life will be
A trimph over death and sin and satan
And I will live through all eternity.

So, brother, sister hear these seeds of wisdom,
God holds your answers and He holds the key.
So turn to Him and trust His mighty power
And from your fears of death he'll set you free.

First of all Let me dry my eyes so I can type!
The title alone had me totally captivated.
To me SEEDS are a promise of growth and WISDOM is the fulfillment of maturity.
I think you started with the perfect opening acknowledging the subtle changes of nature, the unavoidable cause and effect of the circle of life. When you progressed to asking just where do we fit into the sceme of things I knew I had found A treasure in verse.
I could sence Godly wisdom through the entire poem , Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful treasure with us .
But most of all I thank you for professing JESUS CHRIST as he truly is , The author and finisher of our fate.
God bless you sweetheart , this poetic message has touched me DEEPLY
