Friendship's Serrated Betrayal

by Momentary Relapse   Oct 31, 2005

Your serrated blade
A symbol of our friendship
Thrust deep through my bleeding heart
The tears fall on a pillow
Mingled with the bitter betrayal

You lied to me
Promised nerver to hurt me
But bitterness festers in this wound
That is infected with your taint

The bleeding heart I held
Dies as you betrayed me
The serrated knife
You held so confidently
Passes through my flesh
Stabbing deeply into my heart
Our friendship, the basics of betrayal

You lied to me
Promised nerver to hurt me
And bitterness festers in this wound
That is inflicted with your taint

Staggering beneath the weight
Of the knife you betrayed me with
And the lies you told me
Our friendship a lie full of betrayal
My tears seeping as an open wound
And now I bleed
And now I bleed

You lied to me
Promised nerver to harm me
But now bitterness festers in my wound
That is infected with your taint of betrayal

You have lied...
...Now I bleed

You have lied...
...Now I bleed
Betrayed
