But an emotion

by Shædow Poet   Nov 2, 2005

If love were a t-shirt,
stereotype would color it red-
a miraculous shade, quite bright
but when washed, would fade
into a pink,
purely publicized as perfect.

If love were a movie
humanity would rate it 5-
possibly a classic, yearly favorite
but an ambiguous end makes an illusioned hit
a visible mask,
merely made for make-believe.

If love strolled with friendship
they would forever be holding hands-
an indestructible team, laughing happy
but when one's issues are transfered
things get chaotic,
change will chafe the care.

If love were life
it would never really be simple
I'd slice my soul over lover's graves
and share my blood with its offspring's,
trying to taint my everything.
