Spinning Child

by Erika   Nov 3, 2005

He sits on the merry-go-round.,
You watch his face as you give a push,
He smiles at you with unknowing eyes,
He intrigues you, this spinning child.

He has no worries; he loves all,
He feels no regret, he is... happy.
A feeling you have long forgotten,
A feeling this child has brought back.

You feel the warmth of love as his eyes fill with joy, while you add another spin.
Lost in fantasy, You’re brought back as he falls and starts to cry, he is no longer spinning.

But what catches your eye, he has not handicapped himself.
climbing back on, wiping away life’s disappointing mark.

He once again becomes the Spinning Child.

Good write, liked it all the way through. The pronoun references became a little too much to handle. I think it was from constantly using the same ones. the only other things are that it is spelled life and merry-go-round. I liked it nice job.
