Now i lay me down to sleep
I pray the lord my soul to keep
and shall i wake and cock my heat
shall my heart forever bleed
until i close my eyes and drift away
I'll hold everyone close and keep them safe
as the last tears fall from my eyes
so will The angels from the heavenly Sky's
no one shall shed a tear
for many wars been here for many years
until each soldier is finally lowered 6ft.
sorrowful souls will forever weep
as the last ounce of blood is evenly shed
innocent bodies will be put to bed
as i lay me down tonight
i hold my cross and clutch it tight
one by one I'll cross my arms across my chest
and ask the lord my soul to bless
as i slowly close my eyes
