Nostalgia

by Flying Phoenix   Nov 6, 2005

Open up the past
As you look in that old book
Faces gleaming merrily
From those pictures that you took

So innocent
So pure
Those friends that you had
All laughter
All freedom
Time so beautiful
So innocent but sad

Changes happen
We no longer are
The people that look back
Growing up may seem wonderful
But you're greatful for what we had

Days without worries
Without cares for the world
Not thinking about the differences
Between little boys and girls

Those people made us who we are
Those friends that shared our troubles
They created the young adults
That we've become
Those friends, those couples

The photgraphs may fade
But memories are always there
Singing in the rain
And screaming at the fair
Lying in the park
First outings on our own
Looking back you wonder
How much we have now grown

Thanks for the comments guys, and sungrl, it's 'How much that we have now grown' as in the change from what we were when we were little and innocent to what we are now. If that makes any sense?
