The Death of Loyalty

by scarlett   Nov 8, 2005

It is a swirling torrent of regrets,
Slow at first but getting faster,
Her mind breaks down and her soul forgets,
Then she hits the end and becomes a disaster.

They blind her so she can't move,
She struggles but only sinks in deeper,
No longer breathing but no one cares,
And then right there it gets steeper.

She is forgetting, regretting and betting,
No one else can see that it's driving her mad,
But all she can ask herself is,
Will I stop and try to remember what I had?
