Broken Trust

by scarlett   Dec 20, 2005

Locked doors, lovers turning,
Heart pounding, stomach churning,
Strangers who once meant the world,
Now lay hidden among liars unfurled.

No one remains trustworthy,
Backward glances are all that have stayed,
Nowhere to go anymore,
And even home has begun to fade.

Now that’s the power of a broken trust,
Whether committed by you or not,
Unbeknown to you the power of a broken trust,
And in that all you have done is forgot.
