Strangers

by .:*Nicole*:.   Nov 9, 2005

Its a warm, friendly night
The moon smiling down at us
The stars winking at us
The dark sky shielding us from danger

But the shield was flimsy
And broke to let evil enter

The warm, friendly night
Turned to a cold, wrathful night

The moon that was smiling
Now has a smirk plastered on his face

The stars that were winking at us
Now tormented and jeered at us

The dark sky that was supposed to be protective
Was now a warrior that was turned against us
Its spear pointed at our throats

The gunshots and screams shattered the silence
Jolting everyone awake
Causing them to run out into the streets in confusion

They all wanted answers
Demanding to know why there was a dead girl
Lying in the road

No one was them-self that night
Running around blindly
Barking orders at others
Or just standing there in shock

My family was no exception

I tried asking them what was going on
To make some sense of what was happening
But I wasnt supposed to talk to strangers

Please rate/comment!! I will return the friendly act to everyone who does!
