Lonely Hill (Part 1)

by Poetic Tragedy08   Nov 10, 2005

*Note* This is part 1 of a part 7 series. My baby has left on vacation and I'm writing a poem for her each day she's gone so here it starts!

Sitting alone in this quiet room
Slowly tossing...slowly turning
I miss the body and the soul
To hold you is now a strong yearn

As if the sun has abandoned the sky
And slipped away the light of day
But the moon shines at night
Awake at night, these thoughts to pay

Every minute, I can just feel
Your fingers rubbing my pounding heart
I'm so deep in sea you're gone
And I'm left with nowhere to start

The pictures that play with my thoughts
Help me fantasize, dream, and remember
The very first night sitting next to you
In a cold night, a year from December

The first night that your lips met mine
Was like the first night stars shined
The first time your heart connected with mine
But it's slowly built emotions this time

As for now, I'll sit on this lonely hill
And wait for the sun to begin to shine
I'll let the moon light ponder my thoughts
Till the day you can finally be mine

Dedicated to my baby!!
