Within her soul

by just a poet   Nov 11, 2005

When i look into her soul i see,
the brightest angel there can be,
but her shine has been lost,
imprisoned in her own little mind.

when i look into her soul i see,
the purest of girls there have ever lived,
but then i see all around it,
streaks of black battering through.

when i look into her soul i see,
one of the sweetest girls i've met,
but her sweetness is engulpged,
by all of her haterade and pain.

when i look deep inside,
i see the tare that crosses her heart,
i see the tears she sheds each day,
i see the way she hurts all round.

when i look deep i see her soul,
i see the kindness and the smile,
i see the beauty inside,
i see all that she can be.

her hope is lost,
but will be gained,
she hurt all day,
but will find her smile,
she trusts no-one,
but one day her heart she'll find.

Awesome poem.I like how it is actually optimistic, despite at first sounding negative. I really like the main line 'when I look into her soul' I think it's sweet and fits really well into this piece. Nice write :))
