Just A Call

by & i still ♥ him   Nov 13, 2005

You wait for the call that will change your life
You hope and wish the person you found was right
You try your best to let it all go
But when you realize its too late, its all gone

I've waited all day for you
Each minute and each second
Its slow tumble across the clock
It took a while, and its still not there

I stared hopelessly as it moves
Its slow hands tormenting me
One step, one walk, one hand

I close my eyes hoping to escape in a fantasy
A place I know Im in control,
And that people wont betray me

Not even a minute in my cry for love
I see
The memory that youll given me
Its clear as day

You held my hand and told me you loved me
Love is so blind, but for that minute
You were all I see

The phone rang and Im back in reality
Scrambling for the phone
I finally reached for it
I melted when I saw your number

My heart pounding at the speed of light
I collect myself, and answered it
I hear your voice on the other end and thought
I did wait too long, but you're worth every second of my time
