Emotionally crippled

She clenches the knife
as pieces of her drop to the floor
This seems to cure her hurt,
for a while she doesn't feel pain any more
the deeper she cuts
the longer it lasts( no more pain)
With every cut thats so swift
Her spirit will lift
While her blood just seeps into the floor

she drops to the floor
feels no pain any more
cut her worries away
how could this happen
no-one saw it coming

no longer is she a little girl
shes learned how to bleed
she carves the scars upon her wrist
with the pain she wants to need

she feels much more important now
she has something she can control
that scabs on her wrist make up
for where in her heart there is a hole
