What's In A Word?

by GoddessOfWings   Nov 14, 2005

Death.
What's in a word?
There are so many emotions that you feel from this simple word.
Death.
Is it so frightening?
Knowing that one day everything will just... disappear?

Love.
What's in a word?
So many hearts are broken from such a simple-looking word.
Love.
Is it so powerful?
Hoping that you will find it... but then you lose it?

Hate.
What's in a word?
So much blood is shed from hearing such a simple-sounding word.
Hate.
Is it so amusing?
To see distress in another's eyes... and then receive it back?

Tranquility.
What's in a word?
Your heart softens when you imagine what it would be like to feel this.
Tranquility.
Is it so desirable?
To want it so badly that you will do anything... hurt others?

Alone.
What's in a word?
Do you picture a small white room, where you are the only one inside?
Alone.
Is it so common?
To see someone laughing with her friends... but to then realize she actually has no one?
