My Heart Lies With You

by Bill Turner   Nov 14, 2005

My heart lies with you this dark and stormy night
Though my body is many miles away
My spirit is there to keep your world right
My love knows no other way

I will wrap myself around you
Chasing away today's anger and pain
Making your world right is what I am here to do
Washing it all away with the nights rain

As I lay here my mind racing
Chasing away the demons within
My body wanting to spend the night pacing
Imbibing a concoction designed to make me grin

Craving your love and touch
Tonight's desire giving you back your smile
I have never wanted anything so much
I know it will just take a while

There is nothing I would not do
To ensure that you are safe and happy
I am soul deep in love with you
Wanting it all to be snappy

Amazing, I am stunned of the beauty of this poem, there is one thing, I don't like and that is the final line, my opinion is that you should change it...
