Sorry Means Nothing

by Steve   Nov 14, 2005

Sorry means nothing

If I ever meant anything to you you would try

You would leave open the door you're shutting

You're leaving me behind, and all I can do is cry

I gave you everything I had

To see it torn down in a quick decision

As if I was just another fad

Another passing vision

You said you would always love me

You said you'd always be there

And now I am left alone with nothing but a silent plea

Alone and confused, with a new cross to bear

I thought I had found the one

Found that sacred person I could share my heart with

But I guess I was just a bit of fun

Our love was some fantastical made up myth

All that accompanies me now is fear

Nothing to comfort me, no shoulder to cry on

And its over with not a single tear

A simple sorry, and you're gone

Till death do us part

Was the promise you made to my soul

But now with no remorse you depart

And leave me to die out in the cold

I feel as if I'm worthless

I placed my belief in some false god

I see my face in the mirror, gaunt and mirthless

And begin to build my facade

At 17 I found what I'd always wanted

And at 17 I found what I'd always feared

Now I lie here, haunted

I wish I could die, wish I just dissapeared
