Life, or Something Like It

by aDORKable x3   Nov 17, 2005

What am I
Supposed to do
When I am
Standing next to you

Do I dare to
hold your hand
Or smile shly
And pretend

That we are
the only ones
In this world
Of misery and fun

Misery and saddness
it those who are
all alone
without a star

An inspiration
A wish, a dream
A poem of life
with a messed up scheme

Fun and excitement
life's not a bore
to those who just
have a little more

To hold onto something
and see it grow
Toy cry and laugh
through all the woe

"To have and to hold
In sickness and in health"
To know that now
It doesn't matter about your wealth

A sentence or two
Started it all
A friendship than more
we're having a ball
