The Drive

by Bill Turner   Nov 18, 2005

Mist creeps across the road
Just below the beam of my lights
Mist cloaking the steed I rode
Guiding me home these late nights

My brain is filled with the fog of love
All my thoughts are of you
Protected on this journey from above
So that I can come back to you

I never remember the drive
My only memory is that of our night
I feel so young and alive
My world has never been this right

Saying goodbye is so tough
I just want to lay by your side
Leaving is always rough
It makes for a long ride

Time passes with thoughts of you
Our touch, our kiss and more
All that we together do
What we have in store

When I lay down at home
My heart aches for you
My mind begins to roam
Thinking of my night with you

I fall deeper for you
Craving your touch
Wanting all that we do
It is never too much
