Perfect Daughter

by peach   Nov 18, 2005

Because of you i\'m too afraid to leave the shadows,
It seems no matter what i do,
It\'s never good enough for you,
But i do try to make you proud,
Overcrowd you with achievments i have gained
But ive finally seen, finally seen what you think,
I\'ll never be your perfect daughter

When i was young you were happy,
played with me,
joked with me,
but its all changed,
is there any reason?
Or have i not reached your expectations?
Im sorry im not your perfect daughter daddy

You like things your way,
I understand that,
But i just want to be happy,
is that so bad?
Is it so bad i want to go out,
As well as work,
I want to have fun,
as well as try hard,
why cant that be your perfect daughter?

I\'ve tryed so hard,
and yet i have now given up,
For no matter what i do,
I seem to be a failure to you,
You shout, you swear, you get angry,
so now i feel it is time,
To no longer try,
To be your perfect daughter
