I'm walking around more these days for fun,
And I'm trying to be strong.
I can't believe how far I've come,
Because I've fought it for so long.
But I knew that day would draw near,
When the sun would shine
And the clouds of darkness would not appear
I know I can tell everyone I'm fine
I don't feel the pain as much anymore
I'm not so tired or high strung with any thought,
I don't feel weakness deep down to the core
I see the light that the gift of life has brought
My belief of this life has changed
I've learnt so much in the short life I've existed
The person within me has re-arranged
I've realized there's much more I could have loved.
So reach for the sky and touch the stars,
You'll remember your hard work because of your scars.
