Forgiveness

by Rich   Nov 19, 2005

I look at your star and call out your name
My heart is so empty. Does she feel the same?
The light in her smile, the touch of her skin
The memories are fading, can she forgive my sin?
Our lives became one so long ago
Then fate dealt us an evil, wicked blow
Will our faith stay strong, will she still sing her songs?
Will she once again dream at night of me holding her tight?
My life has no meaning, it is empty and cold
It is deep in my soul where her memories I hold
Will our love be renewed like the first morning dew
Or will it become lost, cold as a December frost?
I scream to the Heavens and cry out your name
I pray to God that our love won't change
Yes my love I know it is forever true
My Heart is yours and belongs to you
Give me your joys and all of your sorrow
I will give you my promise and all of tomorrow
