Love

by Beka   Nov 20, 2005

It's easier to pretend you don't love him,
Than it is to say you do.
Especially when this person,
Doesn't love you too.

We started out as friends,
It wasn't hard to see.
We grew closer than possible.
Best friends we were to be.

The more I knew him
The more I cared.
The more I needed him
The more he wasn't there.

Friendly hugs,
Laughing until we cry,
Whenever he's sad
I make him laugh until he dies.

The more I knew him
The more I cared.
The more I needed him
The more he wasn't there.

Now he's got a girlfriend,
He's happy as can be...
She's my best friend.
She, too, is happy as can be.

I feel guilty being sad
That they are together.
I don't want to ruin it for them,
But I feel I have already begun.

The more I knew him
The more I cared.
The more I needed him
The more he wasn't there.

He tells me he loves her.
I wonder what he'd do
If I told him I love him...
Would he love me too?

**Yeah...the repeating part got kind of annoying...and there's one stanza that doesn't even remotely rhyme...I appreciate feedback :)
