High School Screw Ups

by Katt   Nov 20, 2005

The ones that think I hear nothing
See nothing
And know nothing
Will always remain in denial
Pouring out their secrets
Without a whisper
Secrecy
Or remorse
What they really think of people and things
And what is really going on in their life
Some of the things I hear
I wonder about
They keep me out of the dark
And teach me many bad things
I never want to be them
Only me

Getting drunk and high all day long
With this and that disease
Screw this, screw that
Screw everything
That is the way it will always be
They never had a chance of a future
Maybe a flicker
They put out themselves
Of what they can never be

If they survive high school
It won't be because of me
To tell what I know of them would Only get me in trouble
Would make them stare and glare at me
Even if only to change their life for the better
Would end a good life and story for me.
