Calling out

by silent eyes   Nov 21, 2005

Look in to my eyes
what do you see

The child that once stood
before you is surly not me

I grew up a long time
ago you were just to
blind to see

That the things you
hated most about
this world has become
me.

The little girl who sat
on your lap is now
a much older women
turning her back

I love you and just
want you to see
the child that you once
loved you

Is still me

"See" and "Me" are powerful words, use them when neccassary, keep up the good work... your poems are so emotional which is what makes them so fantastic! *hugs*

Thx for the comment, if u'd lyk sum constructive critisim, u used, see and me to much, try and be creative when thinking of verse endings. look in a dictionary or theasaurus to find similar words that sound similar, i have never done that but its a good idea. anywayz keep writing, poetry is ur interrpretation of something, an art to be used frivolously.
