Snowflake

by Ashly Piercen   Nov 21, 2005

Snowflake

From the vastness of the sky,
Slowly descending pure and lightly,
So small and so fragile it flies,
Blind to its destiny

Floating among thousands,
All alone and veiled
Barely a spec on a lens,
Unseen and unappreciated

Fragile and delicate,
At one touch it fades,
Gone before it’s felt,
Unworthy of a serenade

Life never recognized.
Implicit beauty lost forever,
Uniqueness concealed
Vanished before anyone knew it was there.
