I\'m who I Am, Not Who you choose to think i am

by Ashly Piercen   Mar 9, 2006

I\'m Who I Am,
Not Who You Choose To Think I Am.

Roam around seeking understandment,
mope, in your corner in utter confusion,
consumed in people\'s disillusionment,
the mirror is scratched and cracked
haven't you learned your lesson?
choose another one,
get crushed and burned,
It's amazing you still haven't learned.

let the sorrow drip down,
drown out the sound of unanswered questions,
be comforted by the simplicity of the wall,
never failing to stand tall...
they\'re guilty of the words,
yet somehow you're the one who's absurd.
what you think, what you want, what you feel,
erupting from anyone but you.

one after the other,
flows quickly and harshly,
burns and consumes the soul,
dries to create another layer of concrete,
the ashes of my remains dissolve,
heaviness lightens,
no more feeling and no more hurt,
smiling into blank nothingness.
haven't you learned your lesson?
choose another one,
get crushed and burned,
It's amazing you still haven't learned!
