I was a fool for loving you
It was even worse
When I thought you loved me back
But that was never true
I can't believe I thought
You felt that way about me
You bought me beautiful gifts
You spent all your spare time with me
You listened to what I had to say
I thought you did it all
Because you loved me
I guess I was wrong
The worst part is
I still love you
And am hoping that some day
You will love me too
You have always been a great friend
Never anything more
It is not fair
Will you ever feel the same
I know I am going to keep trying
Up until then
I am just the fool in love with you

    I do know the girl in the poem, it's about me. I've heard that song, it really doesn't seem to help though. I'm working on that backbone, and indepence I have. It just doesn't really show in this poem.
