Woman by the Window

by Void   Nov 25, 2005

The stranger at the window,
Who gazes at the sky.
Searching for her freedom,
Dreaming she can fly.

Her heart sings beautifully,
I can hear it with my own.
It sings to me a song,
of why she's all alone.

He was her fearless soldier,
And her soldier, he'll remain.
As he fights the cold, hard war,
In the cold, hard rain.

But the name she remembers dear,
Is now written in stone.
And still she waits for her true love,
To make his journey home.

The stranger at her window,
Who gazes at the sky.
Searching for her freedom,
Dreaming she can fly.
