The Poets Curse

by Jacklyn   Nov 26, 2005

Somber clouds sweep in
creating mutiny over perception
Reality only shows to some
blinding the world to what it becomes

Poetic words lost and unheard
the meaning in which it holds
becoming a lost mist of hope
A warning for generations to come

A corrupt society, selfish at heart
only few minds see the big picture
of a world set for self destruction
Yet warnings in writings go ignored

Profound minds grow angry
no one cares for the future being
The loneliness blooms within
frustration reaches to insanity

A flourishing myth, known to poets
of a mind searching for any meaning
in a society blind to it's uncaring
The world grows darker, the pen sharper
