A Cure

by k i k i   Nov 27, 2005

Searching the nation for the cure,
The answers to fight them off.
Crawling over the remnants that do remain,
I can't see anything at all.
Laying flat on my back,
I can't fit into this life.

Needles, being prodded,
All in one dose please.
Fluid running through the veins,
Into the muscles, the skin.
Family going down with it all,
There's going to be no one left.

Too young to be feeling ill,
In and out of this bed, this one too.
One of many, who are suffering,
Not knowing the truth.
Hair falling and eyes becoming blue,
Mind in a different place with you.

Not long to life,
They don't get it.
Harder and harder to breath,
Chest tight and limbs numb.
Crying for the answers,
All I want to do is shield the poison.
