Christmas Day

by Void   Nov 27, 2005

Christmas day is coming near,
But my happiness seems to flee.
Because every christmas day before,
You were right here next to me.

We stayed up all night on Christmas Eve,
And woke up together after.
The smiles on our faces never leave,
With the warmth of family laughter.

By the fire, we exchanged our gifts,
Each one as great as the next.
Than that blue box that makes my heart lift,
When I read I love you in the text.

This box sat in the palm of my hand,
As I looked deep into your eyes.
The time slipped by like an hour glass' sand,
But that moment would never die.

Back then I cried from the love in my heart,
And the surprise that your love gave me.
But now I cry because we're apart,
'Together Forever' will never be.

Christmas will never be the same,
without you by my side.
But sharing the love, and making it tame,
Has filled me with much pride.

So on the morning of Christmas day,
I know I will think of you.
I'll re-open that blue box and say,
I miss you my love, I do.
