Could Love Me

by Ben   Nov 29, 2005

I see you just standing there,
Your beautiful green eyes hidden from the world,
Hiding in your own dark cloud,
I watch you crying there.

As the world passes you by,
Your hearts falls to pieces,
You think no one else sees you,
You think no one else cares.

As you slowly die inside,
You think no one else cares,
All you have to show for it is faded mascara,
You never see me standing there.

The world still turns,
As people push by us,
None stopping to think,
No one stops to feel.

Each new day my heart longs more,
Wishing you might see me,
Every sunset, always wishing for more
Wishing we could be.
Knowing you could too, love me.

Oh my God, Ben. This is a truly beautiful poem. I love all of it, but this part most of all:

As the world passes you by,
    Your hearts falls to pieces,
You think no one else sees you,
You think no one else cares.

It is so great. You're so talented. Keep it up.
