Life of a Pie

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Nov 29, 2005

Hearken and pity the poor old pie
Whose one life purpose is only to die
From when it's made it knows its fate
That one day soon, it will be ate

Covered in flour and hauled all about
Left all alone after being set out
Bought by a giant, it's then it must fear
For its one little life which it holds so dear

Carried about, swung and bruised
Before taken out and sorely abused
Stuck in an oven for over an hour
Taken out so people may then devour

Sliced into pieces, placed on some plates
Then slowly eaten by those whom it hates
So next time you are looking for food to buy
Take time and feel pity 'fore buying that pie
