Love

Unexpected or not, many would agree
Overwhelming, yet honest, many still envy
The way it makes your heart tickle
In many ways resolved yet so fickle!

Think of it as a roller coaster ride
One, very long, with no end in sight
Up and down and then up again
A steady downhill- we don't want much pain

Love is happy and sad all at once
Unpredictable, yet consistent when given the chance
Take it in all at once or none at all
Without it though you may not recall

The moments alone when all seemed doomed
And then moments alone with your love in full bloom
Think of memories created as a result of this
Remember moments of sadness but mostly of bliss

To some and not all, it comes in guise
Preferable, because don't we all love a surprise
Bowls you right off your feet
Leaving you vulnerable and weak

While some are out there are madly embracing it
Their cups running over with no limit
Others don't see it or find it difficult
Closing themselves off, running away from it

Me, I'm lucky, I have found
A man so wonderful and well endowed
He makes my heart smile when I think of him
He's heart open, and always so willing

I know its love I feel it in my soul
For without him, I would not be whole
As is the case for him without me
Without me he too would not be
