Fade Away

Hiding in silence
the days of my life slip by
walking with my head down
not wanting them to see me cry

the scar on my cheek
represents the pain of life
the fight of demons and angels
the battle of internal strife

each day the pain grows deeper
i suffer in silence alone
no one knows how i truly feel
so cold inside ive grown

the light is so far away
the tunnel so very long
when you look at me
you see the girl that is so strong

but im not strong at all
what you see is just a facade
im just a girl lost in this world
hiding under it all

and one day when this is over
the day i end it the life i hate
i will gaze up through the flames
and let my soul fade away
