No Second Chances

by ROSIE x3   Dec 6, 2005

She sits in her chair beside the clock
She looks in the mirror everything she does it mocks
So she gets up quickly but falls to the ground
Can't get up or make a single sound.

The voice inside her says "Your worthless don't try"
She gets up again but can't and slowly a tear falls from her eye
Scared, beaten and bruised she knows he's there
No time to run or scream no time to even care

Helplessly lying on the floor
She screams at him saying "Please, please no more!"
He ignores her suffering voice and tear filled eyes
Can't move a finger or a thumb she knows she's going to die

She stares at this man who has did this to her
She knows that a broken heart and beaten body has no cure
She loses feeling of pain and tears going down her cheek
Can't move her body no more and can hardly speak.

A policeman knocks at her parents door
Her mother hears the news and drops to the floor
No more beautiful hair and beating blue eyes
No more screaming when she cries

Not even the scent of her perfume exists
No more happiness in the house consists
None of her is here it seems
But just the memory of her in your dreams

"My sweet little baby was beaten to death
I wonder what he did to my poor little Steph"
Her mother saw herself in that same mirror with a glance
And thought to herself "Why couldn't she get that second chance?"
