There are times when you tell me,
To hold not an ounce of fear.
And there are times when you scare me,
Making me shed a tear.

Like the time when you told me,
You didn't think we'd last.
You didn't want to try so hard,
Just leave it to the past.

After that, I took you back again,
I missed you while we weren't 'us'.
By myself I felt so empty,
No smiles, no love, no lust.

Just a week into this,
Sooner than I'd expected.
Our souls became one,
As our hearts connected.

But distance got to you again,
And god knows it got to me.
But I stayed strong, carried on,
How weak can you really be?

You're suppose to keep your chin up,
For the most part anyway.
But you seemed to fall flat on your face,
Each and everyday.

I hate that I'm the reason,
Your heart aches so much
I hate that you're not close enough
For me to even touch

I hate you for not trying harder,
I hate you for no lended hand.
I hate you because I love you,
